Trad Mad Lads

This is a good time of year, spring is around the corner and projects are getting done. So raise your pint of Guinness and toast the fine film Trad Mad Lads by Cormac Mcgrath. It’s just one of those films that has you tapping your toes all the way.

Doctor-ology, Las Vegas & my liver

Doctor-ology is all stitched up. It’s A documentary series starring Leslie Nielsen and David Lawrence. I designed the titles as well as a good number of custom animation for every episode and then some. This was a great project with those crazy fun deadlines. The whole gang at Gala Film made working on such a large project really fun. I can only wish every job was like this. The biggest plus is that now I know what Las Vegas, my liver and a WW2 have in common. If you don’t I recommend watching the show.

Derniers mots

Back in the middle of summer I did the titles for director Joe Balass and his short film Derniers mots.

Trailer Park Unicorn

This was a long job in the making, and the credits came out different than what I originally planned. I might post my first outline & storyboards just to show the change. Anyway I’m very happy with how it turned out and a large part of that was the inspiration I got from the talented people who made this film. Sid, Claudine, Katka and Patrick Watson with his great score.

Who da Toaster?

Part two in the Toaster series has a smorgishborg for the whole family, once again Sugartune gave me freedom to just have fun.

Gioka

Gioka was a great piece to work on, I wanted to bring a fantasy pixyland feel to the new line. The final was rendered in High Def which I really loved. More space more color.

Sugartune

I like the humor behind Sugartune so it will fun seeing how these clips evolve. Two parts rock, one part pop a little bit of cream and a cherry on top.

Moonshine Orchestra : Bring Flowers

One of my first videos for long time friends Claus Frostell and Jack Nicholls. Shot in the summer of 2003 during the recording of Hero Stories. This was really nothing more than me hanging out in the studio recording the process. However once I started seeing more and hearing the songs from the album I wanted to make something more come of it. With songs like Bring Flowers you can’t go wrong. More info on the MSO can be found at Sugartune.

Appalachian Trail

In 2000 I did a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. It’s one of the greatest things I ever did. This film is a glimpse of the place, people and my walk.

Run

My first film. Run was made in 2001, I was a big fan of Sin City and wanted to try a recreate the comic book feel. I cut my teeth on this and it ended up on the Adobe Dynamic Media reel that year. It has some faults but like a bad child I still love it.
